FDA awards first Commissioner’s National Priority Vouchers to nine companies
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has announced the first nine recipients under its new Commissioner’s National Priority Voucher (CNPV) pilot programme.
- Pergoveris for infertility (Merck)
- Teplizumab for Type I diabetes (Sanofi)
- Cytisinicline for nicotine vaping addiction (Achieve Life Sciences)
- DB-OTO for deafness (Regeneron)
- Cenegermin-bkbj for blindness (Dompé)
- RMC-6236 for pancreatic cancer (Revolution Medicines)
- Bitopertin for porphyria (disc medicine)
- Ketamine for domestic manufacturing of a critical drug for general anesthesia (Phlow)
- Augmentin XR for domestic manufacturing of a common antibiotic (USAntibiotics)
Previously the FDA stated there would be two types of vouchers, one for specific assets and another type for the company to choose the asset to redeem it on. All of these vouchers are issued for a specific asset.
The FDA anticipates announcing another group of CNPV recipients in the coming months.
