Eli Lilly & Company receives FDA approval today for orforglipron, their oral GLP-1. Eli Lilly initially announced the application submission on Dec 18th. This approval was under the Commissioner’s National Priority Voucher program and is the first novel drug approved under the program. This application was the fastest approval of a novel drug since 2002.
